This may be a good example of an important hint from something that
looks normal. Apache returned 937 bytes in response to this request.
I used wget to fetch it and found...

Try disabling mod_speling. I thought AG /should/ handle the request
before it falls through to mod_speling. mod_speling and AG seemed to
work on my Debian Sarge with subversion AG. If AG still doesn't work
for you we'll have to hope someone else has a good idea or get you a
modified Gallery.pm with more debug output.
