[ApacheGallery] Trouble loading directories containing .png(s)

I converted them to pngs using gif2png.

All of them are listed as PNGs when I run file *.png.

Perhaps there's an incompatibility with version 1.1.0-1 of Imlib2 with
Image::Imlib2?  What version of the imlib2 libraries are you using?

ps. I checked to see if those libraries were actually liked.
# ldconfig -v | grep png
        libimlib-png.so -> libimlib-png.so
        libpng.so.2 -> libpng.so.2.1.0.13
        libpng12.so.0 -> libpng12.so.0.1.2.2
