By the way - I'm running Gentoo Linux, and I have tried rsync'ing to get
all the latest versions of packages. If anyone has any ideas at all as
to where I can look to find the problem, please let me know. I really
don't want to start messing with any other image galleries - I just got
used to this one ;-)

This is really strange, cause it suddenly stopped working after I
upgraded the system to the latest packages. And right now I have no clue
at all what might be the culprit, so any input is really greatly
appreciated.
